March 16, 2003 - Hobgoblynn becomes EOS Press
Today Hobgoblynn Press announced its end—and the beginning of EOS Press. The publisher of Godlike is not only changing its name, but its face as well.

"It's more than a name change," said founder and industry veteran Aron Anderson. "It's a whole relaunch. After a year in business, we've redefined who we are and what we want to do. We've going in new directions, we're working with new design teams, and we've really nailed down our company philosophy."

Hsin Chen, President of EOS Press commented, "Our relaunch as EOS Press is just that. We've got new investment and have acquired exciting and new intellectual properties. Some of these are original designs from experienced game industry writers, and some of them are hot overseas licenses."

EOS Press will continue to distribute the Godlike storytelling game and has licensed the One-Roll Engine gaming ruleset (by Greg Stolze) for its house system.

"Godlike is a great game and was a great place for us to come from," said Aron. "However, our focus is moving in new directions."

"I think fans will be surprised to see some of the things we'll be releasing in the next year," said Hsin. "The directions we're going in are bold, and I believe they'll help us firmly establish our own unique identity and presence within the industry."

But what are these new products?

"We're finalizing a few details right now," said Brad Elliott, the company's business manager. "But rest assured, you'll be hearing a lot from us in the coming months."

Glad to hear it!

March 16, 2003 - The New Directions of EOS Press
Now that Godlike is behind Eos, what are these 'new directions' spoken of?

Quite simply, it's a whole SERIES of product lines. Eos Press is now much more than a roleplaying game company--it now produces cardgames and even (in the near future) toys and graphic novels, some from well-known artists and writers in the industry.

Please check the Products page for some of our upcoming products. There will be official press releases as release dates are confirmed, but you get to see it here first.

Just to tantalize you, you might also check the discussion boards for hints and or tidbits of gaming goodness from our upcoming releases—the game creators and artists might also put in appearances!
